XLI Field suite of products focuses on the field data collection side of non-intrusive external line inspections. The heart of the XLI FIELD suite of products is a powerful WindowsTM driven GPS data logger.  The XLI FIELD system can be upgraded to the XLI FIELD Advantage for concurrent electronic data capture from up to four survey devices with the addition of the XLI Survey Controller; a unique device designed for the consolidation of multiple electronic instrument readings into one data stream.

Products for XLI FIELD

Data Logger – Windows^TM Mobile 5 Software, VGA color touch screen, high speed SD storage card, Integrated CF Digital camera, Bluetooth^TM or serial connectivity.

GPS – XLI Field systems can work with most NMEA 0183 compliant GPS devices, ranging from handheld units up to high accuracy survey grade systems.  The standard GPS receiver for the XLI Field system is a real time differentially corrected system capable of sub-meter accuracy.  GPS devices are connected directly to the XLI Data Logger or through the XLI Survey controller via RS 232 serial cable or Bluetooth^TM.

Survey Controller – A specialized device with integrated AC/DC RMS volt meter and serial RS 232 data hub for consolidation of line locator, GPS and Sonar or other NMEA 0183 compliant survey devices into single data stream for XLI data logger.  Data logger connection to survey controller via serial (RS232) cable or wireless connectivity via integrated class 1.0 Bluetooth^TM.

Line Illuminator – Standard 100+ Watt electro-magnetic XLI Line illuminator with remote status monitoring and BlueJuice modular power supply.  Optional SeekTech^TM inductive 10 Watt and 5 Watt Line Illuminators are also available for the standard XLI Field system, or use XLI with other commercially available electromagnetic line locating systems.

Line locator – Standard to XLI is a customized SeekTech^TM SR20 Line Locator with Omni-Directional antenna and mapping display.  The SR20 connects to the XLI Survey controller to allow automatic and continuous logging of depth of cover and current readings for centerline mapping.  The SR20 can work with the XLI or SeekTech^TM line illuminators, or passively to trace power line (60Hz and 50Hz) or radio frequencies.  Optionally connect numerous other commercially available electromagnetic line locators to the survey controller to log depth of cover and current readings with the push of a button, or via manual input.

Stationary CP Data Logger - was specially built to facilitate CIS survey and trouble shooting functions.  The XLI Stationary CP Data Logger utilizes the XLI Data logger with specialized XLI Microscribe software and the XLI Survey Controller to log true waveforms for 24 hours or longer.  The Survey log can be viewed in its entirety or parsed to produce interrupted CIS on /off (polarized) values for any interruption cycle being used.
